Nature. Community. Joy. Expressed through art that moves the soul.
Portland Artists · Casey & Tom Milne
Our Story
Tom & Casey Milne share a deep love of nature, family, and creating healthy communities. They chose houseboat living to blend their families — a choice that cultivated a love of the outdoors, water skiing, backpacking, and sailing. Treks through Nepal, health clinics in Peru, and decades of public health consulting have taken them across all 50 states, throughout Canada, and around the world.
That same spirit of curiosity, compassion, and wonder now flows through their art. Today their gatherings include 4 sets of happily married couples and 7 grandchildren — and a studio full of paint, wax, and possibility.
Who We Are
With decades of work in Public Health, Tom & Casey share a passion for honoring diversity, championing social justice, and addressing the challenges of climate change. Their art is an extension of these values — a way to inspire, challenge, and connect.
Casey and Tom donate a percentage of each piece sold to a non-profit addressing the issues explored in that work. Art, for them, is never just decoration — it's conversation.
What We Believe
How We Create
An ancient art form using hot or cold wax. Casey works with a variety of techniques — incorporating watercolors, mixed media, and photography printed on carbon paper — to create luminous, layered works.
Perhaps the most creatively limitless avenue. Mixed media anchors Casey's powerful Climate Change series, where materials themselves become part of the message.
Tom's primary medium — forgiving, versatile, and joyful. From cartoon paintings that spark laughter to landscapes that quiet the mind, acrylic lets him work freely and prolifically.
A large collection of handcrafted cards — holidays, birthdays, thank-yous, and custom requests. Each one made with the same care as a gallery piece.
Casey's deep love of photography inspires much of her art and is also available as fine art prints. The natural world, captured with intention.
Tom's painted rocks are legendary among family and friends. Custom orders welcome — an extensive array of subjects and styles available on request.
